This phenomenon is inevitable, although it is possible to fight against the appearance of premature greys. Here are 6 natural remedies which will help you fight against premature grey hairs. 

1/ Onion

Onion is made up of antifungals which allow it to destroy dead cells and dandruff, to promote healthy hair growth and to oxygenate the hair. You simply need to take the juice of one onion and rub it onto the scalp, leaving it to work for 30 minutes before rinsing normally. Repeat three times a week to effectively fight against the appearance of greys.

2/ Curry leaves

The antioxidants in curry leaves reduce the appearance of grey hairs and regulate the skin’s natural pH. Put some curry leaves into a pot of water and bring it to the boil. Strain the infusion and apply it to the scalp once it has cooled. You can repeat this operation 2 to 3 times a week.

3/ Black tea

Similar to curry leaves, black tea is rich in antioxidants, but also in vitamins and minerals, which improves hair health and growth. Make two cups of black tea and add salt once the water is boiling. Apply the tea to the scalp once it cools, leave it to work for 30 minutes, and repeat every 2 days.

4/ Coffee

Coffee is the foodstuff that works bests for fighting the appearance of grey hairs. Its antioxidants and natural pigments support the capillary fibres and destroy dandruff and dead skin. Make two cups of coffee, leave them to cool and apply the whole lot to the scalp. Leave it to work for 30 minutes and rinse. You can repeat this method two to three times a week.

5/ Avocado

The vitamin E, fatty acids and minerals contained in avocados reduce the premature appearance of greys, by acting directly on the scalp. Mash the flesh of a ripe avocado and rub it into your scalp. Leave it in for 30 minutes and rinse. Here again, you can repeat the operation 3 times a week.

6/ Sage

Sage, along with coffee, is one of the two most widely used foodstuffs for fighting against grey hairs. This plant’s nutrients and antioxidants effectively fight against the premature appearance of greys. Follow the same steps as you did with the curry leaves above, and your hair will be more resistant to the effects of ageing.
