All it takes is a little nervous clumsiness during your first romantic dinner together, or an awkward gesture after having imbibed a drink or two, and there you are, covered in wine! Getting rid of wine stains is no mean feat. However, there are several techniques to help you out, and here are three of the best, to add to this one we’ve previously shared with you.

1) With white vinegar and rubbing alcohol

What you need:

  • 1/4 glass of white vinegar
  • 1/4 glass of rubbing alcohol
  • 1/2 glass of water

1) Mix all of the ingredients together.

2) Pour a dose of the mixture onto the stain you want to treat.

3) Soak it up with kitchen paper.

4) Repeat until the stain has disappeared.

2) With boiling milk

What you need:

  • Milk

1) Boil the milk.

2) Leave the item soak in it for 15 to 30 minutes. The milk will absorb the colour from the stain.

3) Rinse the item in cold water and put it in the machine.

3) With…. more wine!

This method works wonders on red wine stains.

What you need:

  • White wine
  • A clean sponge

1) Pour some white wine on to the red wine stain.

2) Rub it with a clean sponge until the stain has fully disappeared.

3) Put the item straight into the washing machine.
